EMS was founded in mid 1985 and quickly established itself as a leading supplier of high quality precision motors and linear actuators. After taking on sole UK representation for Minimotor SA of Switzerland and Magnetic Elektromotoren of Switzerland and Germany, EMS went on to grow and enter manufacturing in 1990. Our commitment to quality and service is reflected by our accreditation to ISO9001:2000 which, has now been held since February 2003. Complementary product ranges have continued to be added over the years, most recent of which was the low profile motors from the Faulhaber Group companies FTB and Mymotors as well as the micromechanical systems from MPS in 2005.

Our Headquarters are in Aldermaston, Berkshire and the manufacturing facility in Poole, Dorset, where the addition of a 7th unit in 2004 now gives us a total factory area of 15,000 sq/ft. Consequently EMS is able to offer the designers a vast choice of small motors, gearheads, and actuation devices. And, if your application needs something extra, EMS will design and manufacture the product you want to your exact needs and specification.
