The EMC (Electronically Commutated Motor) brushless drives are available in sizes ranging from 35mm in diameter up to 75mm and speeds up to 10,000rpm with a max. output power up to 350W.
Nidec-Valeo the world re-knowned manufacturers of DC drives continue to expand their new range of high quality DC worm gear motors type DCK.
EMS are delighted to announce the latest miniature stepper motor from ARSAPE a member of the Faulhaber Group, and leader in high precision, micro-mechanical stepper motors.
The new Ø12x17.2mm motor with 2.4mNm holding torque and boost torque of 4.1mNm complements the existing Ø6-22mm range of stepper motors but the design is such that new levels of precision, torque, speed range and mechanical rigidity are achieved.
EMS the miniature drives specialist offers some of the smallest linear actuators in the world. As the sole distributor in the UK for Minimotor and Faulhaber products EMS is ideally positioned to meet all your miniature drives needs.
Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) will be exhibiting for the first time at MEDTEC Ireland from 20-21st September 2006 (Stand 120).
The exhibition to be held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Galway is directed at leading OEM’s in the development and manufacture of medical equipment, including cardiovascular, orthopaedics, critical and emergency care, surgery, diagnostics, and implantable technology.
For applications as diverse as medical equipment and robotics, security devices and instrumentation, EMS (Electro Mechanical Systems) is now offering the extensive FTB (Faulhaber Group) range of high-performance, low profile miniature motors. The motors are available in direct drive versions with torque ratings from 0.05mNm to 3mNm, and in geared versions with ratings from 50mNm and 180mNm
Ideal for use with scanning heads, microfans, micropumps, high-precisionpositioning systems and in a whole host of other innovative applications, thenew ultra-flat Penny Motors from The Faulhaber Group and distributed in theUK by EMS (Electro Mechanical Systems) are no more than 2mm thick yet, depending on the model, are capable of continuous operation at speeds ashigh as 60,000 rpm.
Actuators like most other electro mechanical devices have a defined life expectancy under optimal conditions. However the varied application uses result in many different operating environments, load conditions and frequency of use, all of which are hard to define or control once in service. Linear actuators by design have many moving parts, all of which can wear in time. As wear accumulates the actuator may approach a point where the original load bearing specification cannot be maintained. At this point the actuator should then either be refurbished at the factory, if indeed that is an option, or replaced, as part of a routine service of the final equipment. Up until now there has been little to help the end user to evaluate when to service or change the actuator. External wear patterns may give some clues, but will not necessarily reveal the complete operating history of the actuator.
Electro Mechanical Systems have been appointed UK agents for Micro Precision Systems (MPS) of Biel Switzerland, and now represent all the products manufactured by The Faulhaber Group.
1st of September 1985 saw a new company start trading in the small drives market named Electro Mechanical Systems Limited, EMS for short. The concept was to provide electromechanical systems and not just components to the UK small drives market. The range of products to be sold would be limited to a maximum power of about 250 watts. The foundation of the company owes much to the support of Minimotor SA of Switzerland, who appointed EMS as their sole UK agent to sell their range of precision ironless DC motors, gearheads and encoders.
The two new DC micromotors from FTB, featuring an outer diameter of 15 or 26 mm, combine an outstanding power-volume ratio with an extremely small housing length. Available from small drives specialists Electro Mechanical Systems Ltd, the motors achieve a constant torque of up to 3 mNm and speeds of up to 10.000 rpm.
Low cost stepping motors have for a long time been successful in many applications ranging from medical infusers to CCTV pan and tilt heads. Recent developments at Japan Servo (JS) has allowed small drives specialist Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) to offer advantages to such customers with the JS range of three-phase stepping motors.
Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) is launching a new high power ironless rotor DC motor. Whilst there are already 22 mm diameter motors within the Faulhaber range sold by EMS, this is the second to utilize a neodymium magnet to achieve truly stunning power to volume and power to weight ratios. The best so far offered up to 4.5 watts, yet this new model offer up to 11 watts depending on the winding selected of which there are 6 to choose from.
