The bung assembly is used to seal unused glove and transfer ports providing more versatility in the use and layout of a glove box. The flanges on the bung lock into the stops of a glove or transfer port, allowing the bung to be made gas tight through the tightening of the knob acting on the o-ring, as shown below. The bung assembly is designed to be able to pass through the relevant glove or transfer port and can be used internally or externally. |

The two sizes of bung are not interchangeable and must be stored and inspected carefully between use as any damage to the assembly could result in pressure loss. As with the bung, the bore of the port it is to be used in must be checked to ensure a seal can be made. |
