Medical Technology UK 2026
EMS will exhibit at Medical Technology UK on March 11 and March 12, 2026, at the Coventry Building Society Arena. From stand 13, we will showcase a range of highly precise, miniature motion solutions from FAULHABER for the medical technology industry.
Medical Technology UK is dedicated exclusively to the design, development and production of medical devices. Each year, the show brings together engineers, manufacturers, procurement professionals and senior executives from across the medical device manufacturing community for two days of innovation, networking and knowledge exchange.
Highlighting the importance of the sector, Rahul Kapoor, Director of HealthTech at independent technology innovation centre, CPI, notes that “the life sciences sector, including medical devices, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals, is a priority sector for the UK and a significant economic driver.”
This year, EMS will exhibit FAULHABER’s BHx series of brushless DC motors. Delivering exceptional performance at dimensions starting at 16mm, the motors are suited to various advanced medical technology applications, from surgical hand tools and robotics to diagnostic equipment and laboratory automation.
Designed to provide high power density, precise motion control and smooth, low-vibration operation, the BHx motors support the growing demand for miniaturised, high-precision medical devices. The motors provide high efficiency and low heat generation, which are critical for thermally sensitive environments. In addition, the range offers variants tuned for high torque or ultra-high speed, as well as autoclavable options creating design flexibility across medical applications.
“Medical device manufacturers are continuously facing pressure to deliver smaller, more powerful and more reliable technologies,” said Mike Davies, Managing Director of Electro Mechanical Systems. “With micro solutions such as FAULHABER’s BHx series of brushless DC motors, which deliver high power density, precise motion control and smooth, low-vibration operation, these challenges can be addressed directly.
“This year, we’ll discuss how these FAULHABER motion solutions can enable engineers to develop robust, high-precision modern medical devices that are supported by industry-leading drive systems.”
